01Who we are
Small Dog. Full Life. is published by Noor Intelligence, Wincanton, Somerset, United Kingdom. For anything about privacy, contact info@baladanmeri.com. Noor Intelligence is the data controller for the limited personal data described below.
02What we collect
We don’t ask you to create an account, and the site has no forms that send information to us. Your questionnaire answers, budget figures, checklist ticks and other tool inputs are processed entirely in your browser. They are never sent to us or anyone else.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply. We delete correspondence when it’s no longer needed, normally within 12 months.
03Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties: fonts, scripts, images and video are all served from our own domain. There is no advertising, analytics, social media tracking or embedded content from other sites.
We use your browser’s local storage, which works like a cookie but is never sent to a server, in two ways:
| Name | Purpose | Type | Kept until |
|---|---|---|---|
sdfl-consent-v1 | Remembers your storage choice so we don’t ask on every page. | Essential | You clear it or change your choice |
sdfl-motion | Remembers if you turned animation down or up using the footer control. | Essential (set only when you use the control) | You clear it |
sdfl-tool-quiz | Your questionnaire answers. | Optional | You reset the tool, withdraw consent, or clear site data |
sdfl-tool-budget | Your calculator figures. | Optional | As above |
sdfl-tool-checklist | Checklist ticks and items you added. | Optional | As above |
sdfl-tool-pathway, sdfl-tool-kcal | The age and stage in the care navigator; the calorie estimator inputs. | Optional | As above |
Optional storage is off until you choose “Allow saving” or switch on “Save my tool progress”. If you switch it off later, we immediately delete everything stored under the optional names. A temporary sessionStorage flag may be used during page changes in some browsers to play the page transition; it holds no personal data and disappears when you close the tab.
You can also clear storage at any time in your browser settings (usually under “Site data” or “Cookies and site data”).
04Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site, protect it from abuse and keep it running. This is necessary for our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. Vercel may process this data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. We don’t use these logs to identify or profile visitors.
05Your rights
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), you have rights to access, correct and erase personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. Because the tools store data only on your device, you control that data directly. To exercise any right regarding emails you’ve sent us, contact us at the address above.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
06Changes to this policy
If we change how the site uses data, for example by adding a feature that needs new storage, we’ll update this page and ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
